Under the terms and in compliance with the provisions of Law No. 144/2015 of 08.09, DRAFT IN HOMES - Mediação e Gestão Imobiliária, LDA provides the necessary information so that the consumer client can exercise their right to file a complaint with an official, third-party, and impartial entity that will assist in resolving the dispute in question.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is the possibility available to all consumers to turn to official entities that help in resolving or guiding a conflict before initiating legal proceedings in the courts.
Generally, the procedure can be described as follows:
- The consumer client requests a third-party impartial entity to act as an intermediary between themselves and the supplier or service provider who is the subject of the complaint.
- The intermediary may suggest a solution to the complaint, impose a solution on both parties, or bring the parties together to find a solution.
Alternative dispute resolution may take the form of “mediation,” “conciliation,” or “arbitration”.
ADR is typically less costly, less formal, and faster than judicial proceedings.
Therefore, in the event of a dispute, the consumer client may contact an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity.
